Looks good. Maybe another GB of RAM, but that's just me.

I guess a 2nd GB could be added later though if 1GB doesn't cut it...

Definitely get 1 more stick of ram and run w7 32 bit Also I'd suggest another case as the illusion 300 is a bit nosier than expected at Medium fan settings.

Thermaltake's non-Toughpower PSUs are shoddy. The TR2 430W is actually a relabeled 350W.

Consider something like this for something more subdued, and with a better quality PSU (Antec Earthwatts 430W, OEM SeaSonic), plus it saves you ~$12

Two things.

1 - You have no GPU listed, and no onboard GPU on the motherboard
2 - You have the 2.8 regor Athlon X2 chip linked, not the 6000+

I would get the Athlon II X2 instead of the Athlon 64 6000+

This is another gigbyte motherboard which has onboard Radeon 4200:

I might try and go with a case with no led's. If that's what your grandpa wants then cool, but a lot of elderly people don't digg the whole multi colored lights.

Thanks.

I have a question, I never had a motherboard with onboard graphics.

How does it work, when theres no graphic card. Do I need to install the drivers for it? Will it work with windows 7?

Yes I aware of this, but the other antec 300 case does not come with fans and charges more.

It works exactly like any normal graphics card, except that the video port is on your motherboard's IO section. Just imagine that a Radeon 4350 has been merged into the motherboard or something, because that's exactly what it's like from the user's perspective. Except it's slower than the 4350.
