eVGA 6600GT?

Thread Starter
This has been bugging me, Newegg has 2 versions of the eVGA 6600GT AGP. One is model 128-A8-N350 and the other is 128A8N350DX. On the surface they look exactly the same, but there is a small price difference, and drastically different numbers of reviews on the two. Does anybody know if there is a difference in the cards?

Here are the links:

They're both the same thing so don't worry about it. Maybe just a revision or something. Just go with the cheaper one.(ones cheaper after rebate and the other's just plain cheaper)

If you go check the post dates,

This one

128-A8-N350 Had it's first reply at the end of 04

This one

128A8N350DX Has it's first reply at the begining of 06

The difference in replies could be that the second didn't come to the site until recently.

I have one of the 128-A8-N350 variety and will say I love it. Great overclocker, even on stock cooling.

So I'm guessing the "DX" is the newest revision. I guess my real question is what one would be better to upgrade to with overclocking in mind?

don't upgrade from a 9800 Pro to a 6600GT....It's not worth it. Wait for a price drop or something and make an actual upgrade. The performance increase vs price is not worth it for you.

I was looking at this for a friend who wants to upgrade from an eVGA 6200. If I were to upgrade, I would go for at least a 6800GS, or an X850XT PE.
