Will these RAID Setups work?

Thread Starter
Is this possible?

[RAID 5] (IDE)

2x IDENTICAL Seagate 40GB and 1x OEM 40GB

and

[RAID 0] (SATA)

2x IDENTICAL Seagate 160GB

Im not sure as the third drive in the RAID 5 setup is not identical to the other two. Also, does RAID 5 increase speeds, allow use of full capacity of HDs and provide data recovery in the event of a crash?
