1 core more stable than other

Thread Starter
I just got a Thermaltake Big Typhoon and im trying to hit at least 2.8ghz on my X2 4400+ but im having trouble. I think i might need more vcore. What vcore are other 4400+ users using? Mine is at 1.52v and im at 2.7ghz but my cpu core #0 craps out in like 10 seconds and my second core (cpu #1) runs for 6 minutes (3 tests) before getting an error (in Prime95). Oh ya and what tests do you guys run. I use the Small FFT's to test stability because it says it uses the most L2 cache. Why is 1 core more stable than the other and does anyone have any suggestions for me? (My mem is stable so thats not the problem)

1 more thing ..... what are you guys running your chipset at? Mines at 1.6v.

To check for stability, I use Blend in Torture Test.

Still, the fact is that if one core is more stable than the other in ANY test, there is no option except to exchange it for a new one; RMA or wtv it may be called.

if i run prime95 on cpu0 w/o anything on cpu1 it craps out after like 10 seconds

if i run prime95 on cpu1 w/o anything on cpu0 it runs for like 6 min w/o errors

so ya....
If i run them both at the same time the same thing happens. For some reason my CPU1 always seems to be more stable. Ive heard of other people having the same problem. Right now im running at 2.6ghz again but with 1.62v and im gonna see if I cant "burn" in my cores. Don't know if this will help....

Right now im running the Thermaltake Big Typhoon. (with stock fan ... I have a big 120cfm or something around there 120mm fan but the screws arnt long enough and the longer ones I got at the hardware store wernt long enough still lol) just got it today
