I do not agree with tytlyf! You would also want Clockgen from CPUid
http://www.cpuid.com/clockgen.php
Very usefull for adjusting CPU voltage, mult and HTT freq. while testing. Saves a lot of bios resets when pushing the frequency/timing Just find the setting you want and set them in the bios later.
Nice if you can fill in your systems spec so we can see what you are running.

clockgen is a good tool, but once you find instability, Ive found that the program will continue to be unstable even below your current setting.
It's good to find the edge with clockgen, but once your system is bugging (superpi)...then it will continue to bug...until you restart the system.
Using the bios is a little longer, but worth it to OC correctly

I agree with tytlyf. I find that clockgen will continue it's instability once found to be instable unless one reboots so it is a moot point.

Use the bios and you will have testing procedures at the base level which is always (imo) better.

It's like flashing your bios in Windows via a form of Winflash. Yes it works, but there are more instances of failed flashes and borked systems from Winflash than from Boot Bios flash in DOS.

Another usefull program is Toast. Its a small exe file that will generate maximum CPU heat while running. Nice to test temp at full load. It runs with low priority, so you can use the PC normaly.
