Doesnt 700w seem a bit steep for no CFing? I mean, At first I was thinking 460w! I know thats insufficient now but 700w? What would I need all that for?

Personally, I always build for the future. Not necessarily upgrades but once you retire this rig, you can take the PSU out and use it for a high performance rig. However, 500w will do you just fine in a good quality PSU.

Yes I see your point. Excellent point. I'm about to order that MOBO from NewEgg come Monday. When I do roll around to ordering a PSU I will probably roll with the 500w- 550w for this build. When I do retire this rig I just want to complete a whole other system. Thank you so much for your suggestions through this process! REP TO YOU! Haha

Kk...I'll try and keep a look out for ya then I know there's a deal currently for an Antec Sonata III case with a 500w PSU. You could get the combo, sell the case and keep the PSU.

Okay heres the deal. I have a IDE optical drive that has been sitting around and doing nothing. This mobo says that it has a IDE/PATA connector, right next to the ATX mobo power supply (you can see it in the picture). I was curious if this means that I could use my IDE drive with this motherboard?

This is the mobo:

Yes you can use it, I used the supplied IDE cable that came with my motherboard to hook up my old IDE HDDs and transferred it all to my new sata drives. Works np.

I know that there is a small amount of headroom with these CPUs for OCing if you have an AM cooler.
The new Phenom 555 BE's I believe are a locked c3 revision, which makes your unlocking chances pretty high. You need a mobo that has ACC and Hybrid. You won't really void your warranty as a failed unlock can easily be fixed. For gaming I don't know how it fares against the 555 be, but I do know that the 555 be has 6mb of l3 cache split 2 ways, which is a bonus.

Edit: Actually I don't know how those 555's unlock. My bizzles.
