Looks like Patch Tuesday turned into BSOD Tuesday for some Windows XP users -- Microsoft's latest security updates for the venerable OS are causing blue screens and endless reboots for people. That's the word according to a growing support thread on Microsoft's site -- and making matters just slightly worse / funnier, it's apparently the patch for that 17-year-old DOS vulnerability that's causing all the trouble.

It's not a operating system specific flaw, the flaw apply s to x86 versions of windows, your safe from it if your using x64

It's a solid OS that runs well on older systems, and still has complete software and driver support across the board... so why not still use it if you have it?

Money, which interestingly enough is still why I'm driving my old '79 Volvo. The only reason I have win7 is cause it's $15 for students. If it still works use it. And I do have a XP 64 bit on a partition for those special times when I hate win7.

***! My computer has been going loco for no reason at all, freezing and giving me bluescreens, and yes I use XP. Prime95: perfect, Memtest: Great, HD Tune: Healthy.

I think this may be my problem after all....
