If it is not there I would have to recommend updating the BIOS, as that may give you the option.

Since Lock Free is not specifically listed as an update on any of the BIOS version of the Asus website, that's probably not the case (for my motherboard, it is specifically called out as an update). Still, you can get the latest BIOS, drivers, etc. here. It can't hurt to update your BIOS. Just be sure to maintain a backup of your existing BIOS in case it's ever needed.

ok iltry the bios update later after ive researched how to do it!

In the mean time im going to assume that cpu-z is dodgy as all the other programs ive tried are fine, and if its not dodgy then its not the end of the world as the speed boosts up when it is needed

But can someone explain to me what this super pi thing is please? I looks wierd!
What do i do under the calcluate options and what do the results actually tell me???

Hey guys,

well i deleted the cpu i had and installed the overclock.net version that i found in the download section and it says that the multiplier is back up to 17 and the voltage is around 2.68.

I have no idea what happened!!

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP TRYING TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM!!!

2.68 for voltage...u got a SM bus read problem homes update the bios to the newest version and try running speed fan to see if it gives any sm bus error's
