Forget about doing benches at 1.5vcore or anything like that.
I cant imagine this thing would last overly long at those settings for 24.7 use unless you dont stress the cpu much. I would think this cooler would be good for a e8400 or similer. Not much more.
Ive wanted to get a phase for my i7 xeon but its really hard to bring down temps with a 250w+ heatload. Atleast to respectable temperatures.
So you don't think this can cool a Phenom II 965 1.5V when a normal air cooler can? I mean I though this would be better then that heck a watercooling set up can cool a Phenom II 965 1.5V. Atleast I am almost 100% positive it would.

EDIT: I take what I said back about it being very loud. According to the second chart on this page
, even the AMD stock cooler is louder.
is another great review on the Cryo-Z on an i7 920 D0. I say get it. That'd be pretty legend if your sig rig said "Phase Change." under "CPU Cooling." Those with WC will be drooling
Yeah I would like to cool my Phenom II 965, and for the price of me buying the watercooling set up I could spend maybe $50 more and get this. I though this would bring much better temperatures then water. I also looked at that review of it being not as loud as the AMD stock heatsink and in which case it is them my 5970 fan would be louder then that thing lol.
I also looked for other phase units, the only thing I found was this
one on ebay. I know its better but is it worth the extra $20+ dollars? And how hard would it be to find a AMD mounting bracket for it?
Haha yeah that's another reason I want a phase change, not just for the cooling power but also its "ooo" factor
