help needed ubuntu 9.10 32bit

could someone give me directions on how to run gpus on ubuntu 9.10 32 bit?
i tried to follow error 10's guide and everything worked up until step 3.
also i think i'm unable to run smp so running 2 single cores now.
for some reason i seem to be unable to run 9.04 both 32 and 64 and 9.10 64 on my usb bootable

and i'm quite new to ubuntu so detailed instructions would be great. thanks

first off, go to 64 bit.

As for Wine..
Under Apps on the top left corner, pull down the drop menu and go to the very last option...un the search type in Wine, it should come up.

For Ubuntu 9.10 64bit, follow this guide to USB live/install (you can install off of a live cd/usb).

and update your BIOS, if possible. My HP Desktop refused to usb boot (sucessfully) ubuntu without a BIOS update.

i'll give it a try with 64 bit one more time tonight and report back. i've tried so many times with pen drive and livelinux creator but it was futile.

yeah, it still doesn't work properly with (one of) my Intel setups, but it will work with my AMD setup.
