Thanks for the comments.
So this is what is new.
Been running all over town trying to find another 5970.
Found one by Diamond at one store, basic model, basic stuff.
Wants $849.95 Canadian for it, with taxes it comes out to $960.
Now I know I said I was going to spend some money but that is ridiculous. My Asus 5970 cost me around $700. So I wait and I find one online (Asus too) and with shipping it comes to $849. So I ordered it and it says it will be here Monday but.......I have a bad feeling that it will not be. I was so excited to see that it was "In Stock" that I ordered it right away. Later when I was checking my order status it said will be shipped out Friday and arrive Monday. Then I noticed that the site has forums and I went there to look it over. OH NO!!! I see way too many complaints about orders not coming on the expected deliver date and that "In Stock" is aka backordered/pre-buy and nobody can get a hold of people at the store. So like any reasonable person that just dropped almost a grand on this, I called them to get some feeling of security. I get a automated message machine that pretty much auto sends me to "Leave a message at the beep".
That was Friday and they are not opened on weekends, so I wait patiently for Monday and see what happens. Good news is that I can easily cancel the order with my bank. The place is only 5hrs drive away and if that business starts getting "funny" about how to run a business, I guess I'll have to go make a visit. :swearing:
Today going to do some more painting. Want to finish up the power supply and paint the ssd brackets. I also need to make my final order on watercooling needs. Need one more 5970 waterblock, some barbs, fan silencers, and the fans cause the local place that I ordered them from has no idea if/when/can they get them in.
Also I need to do some cutting on the Danger Den rear bracket. It's too tight for the 5970's to sit properly and if I get it(5970) in the dvi ports are right against the metal edge and I can't hook up a cable. Plus the hole to screw it(5970) down are off by about 1-2mm. So backplate thing-ah-me-bob meet Mr. Dremel. Might paint it too.
pics to be posted later
