Both your case modding and photography skills are simply irresistible. Awesome mod.

BTW, who is Melanie?

Cheers and Saludos
Thanks mate. melanie is just a name I came up with when I had to give my lappy a name after a reformat a few years ago. Every computer I've had since then I named melanie right up until recently, (April).

This 780i/8800GT SLI/Dominator build was just the most recent and well known among my friends as I took it to LANs alot. Mention melanie and its what comes to mind which is funny in a way. It was great taking it to a LAN for the first time in ages last weekend and they all saw it again. Safe to say they can no longer pay her out about being ugly, breakable and HOT! Well I always payed her out too...

Oh and heres my idle temps at the LAN.

In gaming the first stayed at 11 and the second hit a wopping 18C.

Thanks man. I wouldn't say my photography is super good but I tried my best! I think I got a few pretty kick ass shots anyway.

I don't think I can even load the first 10 posts properly! I dare say I have the log with the most pics at over 440...

Looks awesome! I love the green and black and the simplicity of the front and the toggle switches and the tinted window. Another fine piece of work, April must be jealous.

Beautiful job... changed a boring old case into something very eye catching.

First off, Ringo is AWESOME!

So... about your case mod.

When I looked at the initial images I was all, "Hey! that's cool looking. It seems Fallout Boy did a few mods and made it clean-looking"... emphasis on "a few mods"... Lordy! Was I wrong.

Please don't take offense at my initial ignorance as this is (imho) the quintessential element of excellence in modding: Seamless integration.

Upon reading through your log (which if I may add was really well written and presented) and closer inspection, I discovered much to my delight that so many modifications were done. These mods were so well done that the end result was one that looked factory-ready and seemed "natural" (for lack of a better term). To add to my awe was that you took different case components that were physically incompatible and made them work.

I really like the over-sized window, the flipped motherboard tray... actually the entire case , the CCFL windows in the bottom of the case, the entire front bezel that came from a different case, and so much more.

Fantastic work, FalloutBoy. The end result is sublime simplicity, a true re-birth, and an excellent case mod.

Would have loved to have seen what you were planning for the comp... Oh and yes, April has been very neglected.

No offence taken. I was really aiming for a heavily modified case that looked almost completely untouched. I think thats my style. I don't doubt theres guys out there who saw a few of the final pics and wrote it off as a pretty basic mod having not gone through the log. To be honest, I take that as a compliment and job well done!

Thanks for ALL your kind words Syrillian, really means alot!

Thanks mate! And money doesn't always have to be big part of 'case modding' either. I think I only spent a little over $100 on the things like the wood, sheet metal, acrylic, paint and so on. Hardwares what hurt this mods budget the most.

This is one of -the- best overhaul builds I've ever seen. WOW! Man, it just came out so well. A front panel swap is a daunting task to me and I'm not sure if I would tackle one, let alone pull it off as well as this one. The hdd/slim optical drive in one 5.25" case was SO amazing! Really sweet mod right there man. I just love this case. From the rebuilding to the lighting to the fan placement, just - everything. Great job bro!
