Safe OC'ing with and without stock cooling (6600 AGP)

Thread Starter
Ok I have a:

Nvidia Geforce 6600 256mb
AGP 8X

and im looking to overclock it, what would be safe values to OC using the stock cooling alone? and also if possible is there additional cooling for it that i could buy? and if so what levels of OC'ing could i achieve with extra cooling system,

Thanks,
Mike

P.S is there a tool i can use to monitor the temp of my 6600?

Seems ok, but I would try remounting with quality thermal paste, if you do that you should be at about 70c. 500 is stable correct? Try using atitool to see if you artifact. Also, with rivatuner see if you can control fan speed.
