It is indeed very frustrating. That's why I hate fixing PC's to make some extra cash. I rather not make the money than deal with slow PC's.
That just reminds me of what happened to me this past weekend. I took a co-workers Dell laptop home to migrate to Win7 from Vista. It had a C2D processor, 4gb of memory and all that stuff, but it was ungodly slow because it was never maintained.
I've been use to 10-12 second boot times, and when I was working on the laptop, it was like watching paint dry!
...and I didn't even make any money because I feel weird charging co-workers for things like that. I can't justify $40-60 bucks for making a backup image, inserting Win7 CD, and defragging the system.
