My little fan is no match for his waterblock! I've been wanting to figure out something else for the NB, maybe even lapping the stock heatsink for better conductivity but I just don't want to rip everything apart right now. I wish I had a store that locally sold the Thermalright HR-05 so I could see if I could make that work or not. Dealing with returning though these online stores seems like its more of a hassle than I'd like to deal with.

I finally got the 930 rig to a stable point even though it's at a higher voltage than I'd like, but it's done in time for Chimp Challenge. I was really hoping I'd be amazed by the 930 chip and be able to build rig #4 with another one, butttt it sucks.

Ok, seeing as how the EVGA forums are apparently very inactive maybe you guys can help me out with this. Hopefully you don't have to be a member to read these topics, but if so let me know and I'll C&P everything.

Just read what has been suggested then either post here or over there, preferably here if you can. Thanks guys.

1.38vcore ???? im running the same setup kinda, with that voltage on 4.2!
Wow you got a lot of voltage going for a watercooling setup on a D0. I had mine a 1.352v with a 4.2 overclock and aircooled by a TRUE, when I had my e758 board.

That's the sweet spot for crunching/folding on those CPU's. 3.8 GHz @ 1.17v for me

Wow Mr.Balll, inpatient are we? I gave you a low side to start at hoping you would bump and test

Anywho. Trying to get my rig stable for the Chimp Challenge, client vmware linux -smp8 and -bigadv and the closest I have come to stable is 20 hours. I feel I am almost there but running low on time.

Temps (highest):

Cpu 55c
Hottest Core 68c
Vreg 78c

Cpu Clock Ratio - 21x
Cpu Host Freq - 190
Cpu Uncore - 3420 (helped stability)

Cpu Vcore - 1.625 OOPS! Edit Typo 1.2625
CPU Vtt - +125
Qpi PLL VCore 1.25 (really seemed to help stability)

Prime95 benched fine overnight on my original oc with the Cpu Vcore. QPI PLL Vcore and Cpu Uncore lower.

Almost scared to bump anything around with the Chimp Challenge so close but really would like to add the gpu client on.

Where to start? My best guess is to bump the QPI PLL Vcore up again and then the Uncore once more?

Are there any W7 64 services known to interfere with folding in virtualization?
