Not making fun. I actually have 2 9600gt's and I love them. They're just one slot cards so I WOULD be able to run it in 16x with the sound card....pointless use of 16x though.

just a quick post for help.

i got the evga x58 sli le today and i got the mushkin blackline 6GB DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) model 998778 for my ram.

does anyone have the same set up and could possibly help me out with the timings? i tried running it @ 1600, but it clocked my 930 down to 2.66. is that normal?

sorry for the noobish question, this is my first 1366 platform.

thanks guys!

What it probably did was that it didn't boot and it has some sort of overclock recovery. What that does is that if the PC can't boot it'll reboot it and load default settings so that you can get into the BIOS and make the necessary changes to get it to boot without having to clear CMOS. I don't have experience with that RAM so I'll let somebody else chime in, but figured I'd at least tell you what's going on and yes it is normal.

idk what you are really referring to nemesis, but it sounds to me like you got your setup and booted for the first time. if thats correct, then let us know what reading you took for the assumption of clocks on your cpu.

the first splash screen does not calculate the 1 extra multi into the final clock. keep this in mind.

check your current clocks with evga eleet / cpuz or other tools that are os internal.

then first get your cpu overclock stable, after that worry about your ram.

just some advice.

Was in prime95 for 4 hours........then this magical thing appeared = BSOD "IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL" happened twice in 8 hours. I cant find anything on google or forums about this. Anyone have any clue on what needs to be raised? I know I should post a template but I'm at work will do it when I get home.

Luass could you please install the smp2 fah client for the time being and help us out in the Chimp Challenge with that monstrous i7 of yours?

http://www.overclock.net/overclock-n...t-windows.html

As far as getting your overclock stable key in on your voltages, specifically: CPUVcore (1.3), CPUVtt (+125) and QPI PLL Vcore (1.25) and I HAD to bump my PWM Frequency. This is what I did to get my 920 rock solid and I put my settings in parenthesis as an example.
