Thats good news. Plus i dont have the GT's so i dont have the fan.
So it looks like the venX will fit in push/pull with dominators on a E760?

Thanks for the quick heads up

are you switching from a h50 for the looks ? it certainly cant be for the functionality, as with that big ol heatsink you wont have room in the case
post #1623 of 2630
Thinking about it, you should actually be able to run the Dominators regardless. Best case scenario is that you run the RAM unmodified. Worst case...you have to remove the top fins from the ram heatsinks which I believe are undone with a few screws.

Edit: Ohhh, I forgot about the additional memory cooler as well...

Sadly switching due to performance. I've tried everything I can to figure out the issues I'm having with my H50's temps, but multiple reseating/regreasing, and attempts to improve conditions, I'm still idling up near 49c on a i7-930 at 4ghz (1.275vcore, +125 VTT, 21x192) and getting up to 86 under prime95 blend testing. I've gone so far as to remove my video cards and replace them with a temp card to check if it's the heat from the sli cards impacting performance. Currently have the rad mounted on the top rear exhaust fan in my 1200 due to spacing on the Classi with 2 Noctua's in Push-Pull.

Was getting considerably better temps with my CoolerMaster V8, but as you said, I wanted to try and eliminate the giant brick in the middle of my mainboard

well idk what your doing different then me, but with vcore being 1.376v under load (1.28125 +200mV in bios) i am maxing out at 75C under load! maybe you should try some different fans.... i switched from a cheapo yate loon high speed push pull to a scythe a15 with shroud setup.... not saying that the fans are junk, but something is up there. or your ambient is up in the 70s.

running same 192x21 as you...

Great!

One of my i7 rigs at home is getting all flustered today. I came home from work and saw that the computer crashed and rebooted for whatever reason, didn't think anything of it. Fired it up, got it Folding, and put on a web stream TV show. It froze again, so I bumped the vcore up a notch just to see if that would handle things. Started up Folding again as well as streaming video, and the rig just blue screened again.

Something funky is up. I guess I won't be Folding until this weekend until I have time to figure out what's wrong.

Hi guys, first post here. I'll be joining the club as soon as I receive my new setup which consists of:

EVGA X58 3X SLI
i7 930
12Gb x Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 1600 7-9-7-24 (which by the reviews I've read can do CAS6 at 1600 and go a bit over 2000 with CAS8)
Corsair H50
Arctic Cooling MX-3

I already have a Corsair HX1000, 2 x 1.5Tb on RAID-0 , 4 x 500Gb plus some other stuff.

After I bought the 758 I discovered there are two revisions of the board, anyone knows if there's anything different besides the color? I sure hope I get the black and gray one.

Revision 1.0

Revision 1.1

Anyone got the Revision 1.0? I've only seen it in Reviews, I'm starting to think they changed to Revision 1.1 before releasing it.

You should be getting Revision 1.1

I haven't seen anybody or any major retailer advertise or show up with 1.0

That's sort of why I'm very confused. My ambients are about 28-29c depending on if I have the AC cranked up in the house according to the thermometer. I tried the Yate Loon's I had to replace all the case fans in the 1200, and they were 2 degrees warmer in push/pull than the 2 Noctua's were.

Just sitting here now idle, realtemp 3.4 has me showing 46, 41, 45, 39 as core temps.

I was sitting pretty at 39 idle and topping out at 73 at load with my CoolerMaster V8 that I switched to the H50 from.
