It goes
16x (top)
16x (middle) if only the top 2 are used, if all 3 are used it's 8X's.
8x (bottom)

You'll be fine running 8x's with the 285. You won't notice a performance difference over 16x.

Been using the same tube of MX2 on all reseats and was also using it on the old air cooler. Haven't tried putting any shrouds on it, not sure my mounting will support it, I'm already pushing how far I can move the pump base and keep the tubing in a steady easy bend so I don't kink.

OCZ Gold or Platinum although I had to rma the first set as not a single stick would run over 1400 mhz. Golds are 8-8-8 and their Platinums are 7-7-7.

Much cheaper then Corsair but I was kicking myself for saving money after the OCZ debacle. I know from experience that Corsair delivers what is advertised. OCZ has some tomfoolery going on. 3 sticks refusing to run over 1400 individually is hardly coincidence.

So it looks like the venX will fit in push/pull with dominators on a E760?

Thanks for the quick heads up

Photo Proof and from one of the pictures he posted, I'm rather pleased with my measurements lol several mm of distance between the fins and the chipset heatsink.

I've been so busy lately with my H50 that leaked i haven't really been able to spend the time to research stuff.

Thanks again

I've finally bought a non-EVGA motherboard! lol

I jumped on the MSI Pro-E + i7 930 combo as well as the Asus P6T SE + i7 930 combo from Frys. Going to pick them up after work!
