At first i thought it was my ram but i recently rma'ed my ram kit and got a new one. After two weeks or so i am starting to have the exact same issues again with the new ram too.

It starts powering on, cycles through f3 and f6 then shuts off. Starts again, cycles f3 and f6 then shuts off. It doesn't repeat the process again yet the motherboard stays turned on but there's no error code on the debug LED. After numerous trial and errors, the system would finally boot up and run perfectly fine without any problems whatsoever. This **** happens to me on stock as well oc'ed settings.
Sorry bro when i had my e758 never had that problem. Have you updated the bios?

I'm probably gonna go for the 930 when I head up to NY and get to a Micro Center for $199. As for the memory the egg states DDR3 1333/1600+ is that stating I can run higher or just OC the 1600 to a stable point?

This will be a tight budget build probably another probably another 100-200 on the memory since I'll be shelling out $3XX for the proc and mobo already.

I also just seen this thread http://www.overclock.net/intel-mothe...8-voltage.html

Yep thats my thread

I'm pretty sure this is a bios problem. When you get your board just make sure that the bios that it ships with is in the list of revisions on the evga website.

From the link just follow your way to the E758 bios and check to make sure its there.

The bios in question that damaged my cpu was not listed and is a (Unknown Bios)

The cycling F3/F6 issue is a memory problem. I recall having it whenever I set my timings too tight or my divider not low enough.

What memory are you looking at? My interpretation of that is the memory is rated for 1600, so you shouldn't have a problem running at those speeds.

And for what it's worth, if you just pop in sticks of DDR3 1600 memory and don't manually adjust the frequency, they will run at 1066 or 1333 (can't remember which one). You'll need to go in the BIOS, and set your timings and frequency to get your memory to run as advertised.

Ritchwell!-Andy!

Long lost buds

Looks great ritchwell and good god man get those dimm's on a antistatic bag

I bet you keep that plastic shielding on the front panel for awhile I know i would but of course i would take it off pretty quick. I myself am still trying to figure out how im going to aquire a 800D.

And boy corsair screwed up and sent me back all my parts before they replaced everything except my old motherboard so essentially i got a extra i7 system. And i demanded a GTX260sc in lieu of my 8800GT and 8600GTS and got it Still pissed though i want my damaged motherboard back they dont need it. with the old 6GB plus the new 6GB i have been having random blue screens though (Memory related) maybe because of the 12GB or water damage. anyway guys i dont want to bore you but the full story is pretty increadible. I just wanted to say whats up and i'm glad you guys are still around.

Thanks bro, I had to buy the 700D due to being $156 FS after discount price and bing cash back. Have you compared the 6gig RAM seperately to see if thats the issue you are thinking.

Hows that 2.0 revision mobo? Is there anything different, you got to post pic's
