Ahh very nice.. You can get that down to $153 after rebate and bing cash back. Need to get these checks into my account though and I'm being lazy.

I was thinking about mentioning Bing Cashback, but I thought the program was set to expire at the end of last month. However, I do still see people are including BCB in their deals posts, so maybe not. I guess I need to get up-to-date with that...

My bad, I did some searching and I guess Bing Cashback goes until the end of THIS month. I picked up that set of Corsair memory a few moments ago, now I'll finally have the ever-popular Dominators. Only thing is that I'll be unscrewing the top heat fins off of them...

I am new to overclocking and was wondering if you guys could help me out with my overclocking.
I have the EVGA x50 SLI LE, i7 930 with a Corsair H50, 6GB of Corsair XMS3 RAM and a XFX Radeon 5870.
Obviously I will not be overclocking the GPU at the moment as I don't think it is necessary.
Which settings would you guys recommend to overclock and how many GHZ would you aim for if you were me?

Ok, If you don't have them yet head over to our download section and download..
http://www.overclock.net/downloads/

Linx: For stress testing (25000 problem size and all ram) Just click "all"
Real temp: To monitor your core temps (Keep them under 80c for peice of mind)
Cpu-z or E-LEET: To confirm clock speeds, memory and vcore

When you have these we can start with a 1GHZ quick and dirty overclock of
19x200= 3800Mhz Getting your memory running at its rated specs will come later but these setting should be 802.0Mhz spec is 800Mhz. Cpu stability is first.

Frequency Control

CPU Clock Ratio (19X)
CPU Host Frequency (201)
MCH Strap ( Auto )
CPU Uncore Frequency (Mhz) (auto)
CPU Clock Skew ( 0 ps )
Spread Spectrum ( Disabled )
PCIE Frequency (Mhz) ( 100 ) If using SSDs check with the manufacturer before raising above 100. The higher you raise the PCI-e Frequency the more problems you will see. Any problems with NICs or USB return this setting to 100.

Memory Feature
http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=5247

Memory Speed ( Standard )
Memory Control Setting ( Enabled )
Memory Frequency ( 2:8 )
Channel Interleave Setting ( 6 Way )
Rank Interleave Setting ( 4 Way )
Memory Low Gap ( Auto )
tCL Setting ( 8 )
tRCD Setting ( 8 )
tRP Setting ( 8 )
tRAS Setting ( 24 )
tRFC Setting ( 88 )
Command Rate ( 1t )

Voltage Control
http://www.evga.com/forumsarchive/tm...09&mpage=1&key

EVGA VDroop Control ( Without VDroop )
CPU VCore ( 1.20v-1.21v )
CPU VTT Voltage ( +50mV ) Its very important to keep this within 0.5v of DIMM
example: 1.25v vtt and 1.65v DIMM =0.4v

CPU PLL VCore (auto)
**IOH PLL VCore (auto)
DIMM Voltage ( 1.65v )
DIMM DQ Vref ( +0mV )
QPI PLL VCore (auto)
IOH VCore ( Auto )
IOH/ICH I/O Voltage ( Auto )
**BR04 ( NF200) Voltage ( 1.40 ) (only on E-759)
**VTT PWM Frequency ( 250 KHZ )
**CPU PWM Frequency ( 800 KHZ )
**CPU Impedance ( Less )
**QPI Signal Compensation ( Less )
ICH VCore ( Auto )
*PWM Frequency ( Not Used on Classified )

Bios templates if needed later.. I don't want to overwhelm you.

Thank you, I'm not running @ 3.81Ghz with load temps of around 65c and idle temps of around 40c.
