Have fun man!
Just crashed running Prime95, which sort of confuses me since I ran IntelBurnTest at maximum without crashing.
What have I done wrong?

Thats not so unusal. One will run like a champ and the next crashes
Was it a BSOD,Freeze or a restart without BSOD?

and which prime test are you running? Blend, small, large?

remember to note the stop code

I was in the other room I noticed it had stopped working with remote desktop, but guessing off the restart time it was the BSOD.

I forgot to tell you to disable turbo, speedstep and CxE until you get a stable overclock it maybe interfering with testing

Turbo doesn't need to be disabled. He just needs to keep it in mind when overclocking - your multiplier will for the most part always be 1 higher than stock with turbo enabled. I hear that uneven multipliers (17, 19, 21 etc) seem more stable than even multipliers.

Anyone have any experience with air coolers on an e758? My h50 didn't fit like I wanted it to, so I RMA'd it. The fan was touching the north bridge heat sink and crushing the 8pin power connector. Thinking about a megahalems, but not sure if I'll have clearance with the NB heat sink and memory (6gigs of g.skill PI).
In progress.

When you are doing a first time overclock yes it it is wise to disable turbo and power saving functions. When stable then turn them on. These are a variable.

I have also heard the same. Me myself I've had the best luck overclocking i7's when using uneven multi's.
