I recently switched from my LE to a Micro because I'm downsizing to an matx case. Both boards are awesome

I was able to take my 4.2ghz @ 1.375v HT on and bring it down to 1.368 on the Micro. Then I realized I don't do anything that benefits from HT, so I turned it off. I'm now running 4.2 @ 1.34 HT off, and because of the lower voltage my idle/load temps are 4°/6°c cooler, respectively. Still rather high voltage for a D0, but I'm happy with the temp drop.

Maybe my used but perfect condition X58 LE can help you make up your mind?

Yeah HTT is not really used everyday at all, as a matter of fact have you noticed a lot of users report that AMD rigs feel snappier than i7's? That's because of HTT, turn it off. I remember when I turned it off on mine it got faster around windows. Something to the AMD rigs though, blazing fast regardless!

It does feel a bit faster with HT off, but then again it might be the fresh install of windows that I did to change boards.

Could very well be, however just my two cents. I tried it without a fresh install and it did feel slightly faster.

Slow?

Far from slow and built like a tank. I have abused Dominators for years and never killed any.

Where (in what field?) are they slow? and how did you come to this conclusion?

@andy
Nice! its about time huh
Matthew Moser is who i spent 1 hour and 5 min. with on the phone. Nice guy that one!

Which board should I choose? I don't know what one to pick. I cant afford anything around the R3E. So like Below 300 bucks.
