There's better guides, but this was just a quick search.

Basic things to know:
  1. DRAM and DRAM/QPI voltage have to be within .5v of each other
  2. It's safe to go over 1.65v for DRAM voltage as long as you meet the above requirement, however that's probably not needed
  3. When raising your BCLK to a high point where you seem to hit a "WALL" raise your PCI-E a MHz at a time and it should improve stability, as well as raising your ICH voltage a bit as well. That'll allow for much more stability at high BCLK speeds

Once I try to go over 160bclk it doesn't want to post.

Can you post a BIOS template of your board please?

Of the settings I was trying? I was just slowly upping the bclk to see what would post.. Then I tried 175 and no post so I played with the voltages upping them little by little and still nothing after a few tries. So I put it back to stock to go and search a bit... Probably because I didn't up the VTT accordingly. Gonna try again.

Yeah, try upping the VTT a bit along with vcore. your IOH also needs to come up, try 1.25-1.3v

I was manually setting the memory and it was screwing with the uncore freq.

I leave the uncore at 16x and memory divider at 8x or 6x to help the overclock a bit.

That's what was causing it to not boot because I set the memory speed manually and it wanted to run he uncore @ 24x and wouldn't boot.

I have the option "without vdrop" and I noticed under load the vcore is raised. Is that supposed to do that? I have it set for 1.275 it went to 1.328 IIRC in Linx. I doubt my H50 is gonna be enough to cool this thing. Was hitting 90+c on two cores and I shut linx down.

No wonder, that's insane. UNCORE is best at 16x. Once you've reached your desired overclock you can try to raise it then to gain a bit more of performance out of the rig.

run without vdroop, and yes voltage is supposed to raise. Just work your vcore down from there, try to set it at 1.250v so it loads up at around 1.285-1.290v and see how temps are there.

Where do you have the pump connected from your H50?

It's plugged into the MOBO but it's running at full speed now. Even so it's still getting really hot under load and I just applied Shin Etsu G751 when I put everything together. I used a bit more than a rice grain.

I was running LinX at 4Ghz not stock speeds though.
