kool thanx a lot for all the help, i actually have a 780i board so the x3 is probobly an upgrade from that. but i build a system for my dad, but i didnt pay much attention to the gpu specs cause he only runs one card, so add me to the list cause i have the le board that my dad uses here it is

thnx for all the help guys, i think i might just buy the x3 board since im going to be going sli with the new nvidia cards when they launch.

but last question, do u guys think that the OC ability of the cpu is the same on both boards??

to jctpm!

He was one that helped me quite a bit to get to 4.0Ghz in the beginning. I was able to work my way from where he directed me and lowered my VCore to 1.1875 in the BIOS.

I believe I'm stable at my current settings and have found the limits of my settings.

I have 14+ hours of Prime95 on my current settings, 30 passes of LinX and 30 passes of IBT.

Now I want to maybe lap my Dark Knight and change the TIM on the Northbridge heatsink...

The loss of PCI-E lanes will not really hinder performance at all.

Nice to see that you're at 4.0Ghz and stable. I think your chip can do 4.2Ghz pretty easily as your voltage now is not that high.

Also, I don't think lapping your Dark Knight is a good idea. Isn't it a HDT heatsink ? I've read that you should not lap HDT heatsink because of the potential damage you can do to the heat pipes as they are thin to begin with.
