PCI-e slots 1 & 2 running at x8 when they should be running at x16. Sometimes they run at x16 then I'll restart, cold start, or wake from sleep and they are at x8 for no reason. Re-seated the cards, checked all connections, tried two different BIOS's still the same issue.

Hello to everyone.

I am new here and i would like to say that this eVGA mainboard that i manage to upgrade to ( i previously had and Asux p6t) makes wonders for me. Now i can manage to get 3800 easily from my 920 D0. I will try to go a little bit higher but it's too hot ftm in my room ( no A/C installed ) and room temperature is around 35 degreese ( 90+ american style). I will put a picture with my setup and if something is wrong please share with me.

What voltages shall i raise to obtain a stable OC lets say for 4 ghz?

Welcome to OCN and the club

We can't really tell you what voltage to obtain 4.00GHZ stable as each cpu is unique. We can help YOU find the right voltage your particular cpu wants. Lets start where your at (1.21v vcore) and we'll move things up a notch at a time as needed.

Be forewarned that overclocking properly requires time and patience.

I think i will try first to get stable at theese settings couse it's a little bit hot in my room (33 celsius) and i dont wanna RMA anything couse of overheat problems. When it will get a little bit cold i for sure will go to 4ghz+ but until then i'm stuck with this. The problem is that for 4ghz i need 1.25 V.core to pass a fast 5 test in Linx but temps get a little bit higher on each core ( 86 85 85 84 ).

Thanks anyway for the advice i will play a little bit more with my setup. I think my cpu is not a good one couse is #3927A460 and from what i heared the #38xx are the good ones.



One more thing, what bios shall i use for my board ( 141-BL-E757-TR ) ? Now for sure i have the latest one 74 i guess.
