Damn, then that's just bad luck. If it was the same rig then you can doubt something on it that is causing it, but this is just puzzling.

Im In, Got me an X58 SLI LE
Running my 920 D0 @ 3.810 GHz @ 1.25v. cant seem to get 4GHz very well with low volts though. gonna try again. Max load temp is ~46C with room at 22C on my Noctua NH-D14.

Anyone else getting insane VDroop with this board, even with LLC on? I have selected 1.5375v in the BIOS but according to CPU-Z it drops down to 1.446v under load. It says ~1.51v when my system is idle.
Or is it just my PSU not wanting to do the same thing as me?

Does anyone have a solution for their VREG temps on the SLI LE board? I can not overclock to 4ghz due to the temps. As soon as my VREG temps hit 90, it will throttle down to 12x. I have a Corsair H70 so it pretty much blocks the VREG completely. I am assuming it's not getting any air to cool

Also, my 24/7 OC is at 3.6ghz and it's perfectly fine. However, at 4ghz, VREG idles at 55ish and tops out at 90...

Is there something I can change in the bios to lower VREG temps? If so, is there a downside to it?

The VREG HS on this motherboard isnt the best, but mine never gets above 50C
Using an NZXT Tempest EVO case and a Noctua NH-D14 cpu cooler helps

Hey all, just got a EVGA 770 Classy and an i7 980x. This is my first Intel since the Pentium II (with MMX!) So I managed to get it to turn on, which was fun...

I am teaching myself all the ins and outs and doing reading, but before I got crazy go nuts. I am seriously wondering what the offset is for temperatures, there has to be one, my ambient is 20c. The D14 is good... but its not that good.

This is really important to me that I am getting good readings for temps, I am also installing my first water loop whenever the parts all get here, so I need to know some comparison temps with my Noctua for reference.

These are the temps I am seeing, which can't be right... can they?

I see no massive warnings about needing a temp offset when searching the forums or google. Can you tell I just came from the Thuban?

And Load Temps:
