Check out some of the BIOS templates that are in the first post. Maybe they will help you hit 4.1Ghz. I know the LE is capable of it, I've had mine over 4.3Ghz before with just a few tweaks.

My sister's bf (who is a senior member here btw) managed to get it to 4.001 ghz on 1.3 vcore and 1.3 qpi volts while running 50 times through linx and using approx. 4800 mem. But when I tried going 1.275 volts on both ends it hit a problem error right at 30 run throughs. So I'll try tweaking around and see if I can get any lower, for my main goal is to hit at least 1.26 on 4 ghz

If you're looking to hit 4.0-4.2 get it, but if you want to hit 4.3+ I would look for something more high-end.
My board was able to hit 4.3+ fine. You just have to tweak the settings.

Wait for Sandy Brdige and you should be able to get good prices on some of the higher end LGA 1366 boards.

I recently got my board (used) with a 920, and I used earlier posts from this thread to reach 3.55 GHz. I didn't push further as I was planning on getting a 970.

Well I have my 970, and a few issues. I'm having minor stability issues at 4GHz, and I can't push my bus past 185 MHz without having horrible stability issues. This last was apparent on the 920 and continues with the 970, so it is something not associated with the two CPUs.

The 970 is cooled by a corsair H50, modified with a second 120mm fan so it is in push pull exhaust, getting me individual core temps around 70c fully loaded.

Memory is corsair XMS DDR3-1600. GPUs are 2xGTX570 in SLI and 1xGTX260 for physX. OS is Win7 x64.

I need this setup to be rock stable. I participate in folding at home so I cannot compromise stability at all. I'd like to dial in 4Ghz before pushing higher. Any help you guys/gals can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Try this:

CPU Vcore - 1.32
CPU Vtt - +275
CPU PLL Vcore - 1.85
IOH PLL Vcore - 1.3
QPI PLL Vcore - 1.4

Once stable, start lowering settings starting w/ CPU VTT, then CVcore, etc., and retesting.
