Thanks for the post.. I figure with the release of SB we lost a good section of the users. I know when I scroll through all the posts there are still quite a few who are still rocking the X58, or they moved on and never updated their system info..

Updated your info on the spreadsheet and added your bios template to the OP...

So now we have templates with bios settings for
i7-920 @ 4.15 - (Karma)
i7-920 @ 4.00 - (B-Con)
i7-950 @ 4.24 - (me)

Hope to get a couple others so there is a good reference point for new overclockers..

Thanks!!..

You could browse the thread and PM some of the more previously active users to see if they are willing to contribute. You may also have to bump the thread every now and then to get some more exposure.

Yeah, I am going to keep hitting it up every couple days...

Maybe mess around with the OP more. I changed the banner.

May add some of the HWBot bench runs I find.

Edit: Nvm. It seems that I was unaware that the EVGA FTP server is poorly configured and doesn't support Webkit browsers like Chrome.

Just RMA'd my board. Computer only sees 3.99gb out of 6 usable memory. Tried every fix suggested, and nothing worked

Even swapped the memory and CPU.

Added the FTW3 to the spreadsheet....

Still looking for a couple more bios templates if anyone wants to contribute. Just grab one from the first post and modify to suite you settings and then post it here and I will add it to the first page...

Can't believe I've missed this thread, I have an X58 SLI. I'll post my settings next time I reboot, it's pretty much stock - as my sig shows.

I'm still reading through this thread, but has anyone else had an issue where they needed a lot of VTT? like +250mV just to be stable at 3.4GHz? Still need to mess around with it a bit I suppose.

What BCLK and CPU Vcore are you running?

I believe the default for most of the X58 SLI boards is 1.20v for the VTT, so +250mV = 1.45v, which is a tad bit over what intel lists the max on the datasheets.

If you download evga's "eleet" program it has a voltage tab that shows all the voltage settings, or if you have a Multi Meeter you can test the actual voltage on the motherboard itself, that is actually the most accurate way to get voltage readings.

One thing I have noticed with the 9x0 series cpu's is that a lower vcore = higher vtt and visa versa. So if your vcore is low, you may want to try bumping it up a few spots and then try lowering the VTT... Intel list the max vcore at 1.55v, so we have alot more headroom for safe vcore than we do with VTT.
