Hello fellow X58 owners. I had a question about my board.
I have an X58-SLI 3, and the part number is listed as 131-GT-E767. I was unable to find that part number listed as one of the models on this page.
I will post some pics when I get some time.
Also, until I can get some different cooling arrangements, everything is at stock settings.

Your right, I will have to add a spot for the E767, I will have to do it tomorrow, the google doc is registered on my work email and I forgot the password

Thanks for the info. I will post some pics later this week, after I get my new psu and rewire everything so it looks better.

Alrighty, got you in there under a new tab for the x58 SLI-3 E767...

If you can dig up your bios info (Bios Rev 44 - 48 or whatever), and keep me updated if you do some overclocking so I can add your bios settings...

Did the 767 replace the 758? Seems to be the same board, just different layout and cooling..
Ahh, see it.. 758 is 16x16x8x and 767 is 16x8x8x for SLI

Ok, I will get in and check the bios info out when I get home. I have been meaning to do that for a while. At the moment, nothing is overclocked, because the temps I am getting are a bit too high for me to start that. I have a Corsair H60 to put on the cpu, as well as a new PSU to install, some wires to rerout, and then some new fans to add to help keep things cool. Once that is done, I will attempt some OCing.

Apparently, I should have gotten the 758 MB so my 2 gpu set up would have both been 16x.

10acjed - Thanks again for keeping this thread alive.

Apparently, there is some misinformation out there due to improperly updated owner's manuals for these boards.

The E767 actually runs 16x/16x/8x. If you run 3-Way SLI, then the second slot runs at 8x.

Here's a breakdown of PCIe bandwidth for the EVGA boards from their frequently asked questions page...

http://www.evga.com/support/faq/afmm...px?faqid=59280

Additionally, the E767 contains 2 SATA III (6 Gbps) ports and 2 USB 3.0 (5 Gbps) ports.

whitebird89 - Welcome and good luck with your overclock.

Thanks for that extra info!

So, at the moment I am running a 2 way SLI setup. After reading that info, it seems to suggest that the best way to run 2 way SLI would be to have the two cards in the first two slots, and leave the third one empty. However, the SLI cable that came with the motherboard seems made to span the first and third slots, and leave the middle one empty. It seems like it would be better to get them both in the x16 slots though, right?

Your board should have come with 2 SLI bridges...

You should use the thinner one for dual SLI. It is flexible to accommodate your cards in the first two slots.

Also, you shouldn't even notice a performance difference with one in the 8x slot unless your running high resolutions with multiple monitors.

Excellent. I am using the flexible one obviously, as it is the one for two cards. I actually have them placed in the first 2 right now because I am using the small PCI-E slot for a sound card. I have been getting pretty high temps on the first GPU though, and was thinking of moving the second one down to allow for more air flow. Unfortunately, if I do that then I lose my sound card....though I suppose the onboard sound on these MBs is pretty good. Anyone have an opinion on that?
