I am a bit late to join the club, can any club members please tell me if these settings are alright? I have overclocked a 930 @ 4.2GHz(4.2Ghz - 201 x 21X) under 1.41250V with a H70.
8Hrs and 30Mins Prime Stable, Temps After 8hrs test 82 - 85C in Real Temp.
Idle Temps are between 45C - 50C.

Are these settings alright? I might push it a little more but just wanted to know if I am on the safe side, biggrin.gif

Those temperatures are the most concerning thing, really shouldn't go above 80C ever. tongue.gif

I don't think you need Extreme Cooling enabled unless temps get into the negatives.

tongue.gif well that when running prime 95, I know no real world application would stress the cpu like that. it stays within the 60C - 70C during gaming though whistle.gif I though the same thing about the Extreme Cooling feature but ended up having to turn it on as suggested by 10acjed. Since with disabled, my CPU would down clock or throttle itself after hitting 70C frown.gif seems like a feature or a bug on this board.

But what do you think of the voltages and other settings? Do you think they are fine or if I could be making them more efficient or improve something somewhere? smile.gif

Settings all look good to me...

Temps are about average for those clocks & volts, I will max at 80c in Prime95, but it generally averages around 75c depending on which test is running..

Never see temps above 70c any other time, even encoding videos or gaming...

I got my EVGA x58 ftw3 over a year ago. This year I'm working on upgrading to water cooling.

I'm still very satisfied with my mobo. smile.gif

Currently, I'm at 4020mhz with 34C idle and 62C benchmark load 51C gaming load on the cpu.

I have chipset water blocks as well which maintain similar temps (maybe 8C less, but I've seen the temps match) to the cpu at load, but 20C lower at idle

Any input on how good these temps are and what temp I should expect with triple sli?

Haven't posed here in quite sometime, but now I have a reason to. biggrin.gif

Finally became completely fed up with the noise my computer makes and torn the thing apart to try and narrow it down. With every fan unplugged, guess what it is? The chipset fan! rolleyes.gif

Now a new hunt begins for a better fan and perhaps some air ducked work. I'd like to run folding@home and BIONC all night but just can't sleep with that noise going.

Edit:
I'm going to try to just clean the fan for now and replacing it when I have more time. Found this thread at the EVGA forums and I'm looking to do the same or similar. I'll post back when I can. thumb.gif

Howdy again everyone!

Cleaning the chipset fan didn't help any with noise. I finally replaced the fan on the chipset with a little 50mm (I think tongue.gif ) Although it still needs to be turned down to about 50% in the bios. I can post pictures tomorrow if anyone cares to see, but let me assure you the words "Good Enough" got thrown around a bunch tongue.gif

Does anyone by chance know the max temp for the NB while on the topic?

Does anyone by chance know if our boards support VT-d? I've been looking to get a gaming VM going so I never have to reboot into windows again. My plan is to get a Xeon chip that has the VT-d instructions but I'm doubtful that these boards support it. I'm also going to be emailing Evga about it, but this is just sorta one of those techy questions I'm sure their help department isn't' going to have any clue what I'm talking about.

Just as an update - still just have that 50mm fan on my chipset and haven't done much else with it. Much more quite than
