Just noticed, could you put me on the LE list.

Think my bios is 43, all other info should be in sig.

I'm gonna try to take a decent log. I'm normally pretty bad about taking pics during the process, as I normally just want to get it over with and see the results. But I'll try to be patient and take some pics, and before and after results.

Has anyone successfully used an aftermarket mosfet cooler on the LE yet? I'm thinking of replacing that and the northbridge cooler soon. I know the Thermalright HR-05 IFX High-Riser Northbridge Cooler will fit but for the mosfets i havnt found anything that will fit yet. Any suggestions?

Anyone using a Venomous X or Noctua U12p on the X58 SLI board? Do the fans or heatsink block any of the dimm slots on an east/west orientation. Planning to do this with push/pull. Also, I'm not really planning on lapping the coolers so how would the unlapped Venomous X compare to an unlapped Noctua u12p?

thanks guys. Hope to get my gaming rig built soon.

I'm running the Venomous X on the X58 SLI LE mobo. I have mounted it in both directions and it clears the dimm slots fine. But you should take into consideration the height of your RAM sticks too. I'm running the OCZ Gold Series with no clearance problems.

Ok guys, have a question for mine. I have a s1283, but since it doesn't have the totally flat base (heat pipe touch, like a dark knight) pea sized in the center doesn't spread evenly for me. What i did was put a very small drop on each of the 3 pipes and then let it sit, but this is probably why my temps aren't good. any advice on it? or should i just try and save a little and get an h50?

The thing is for HDT heatsinks you should use the last method shown here to get the best spread.

As far as the s1283, it does an excellent job against the stock HSF but it might get a little to warm as you scale up to 4.0GHz+. I would go get the H50 just because it is an excellent cooler in itself and performs beastly with the right fans.

Wait..switching from the H50?
I gotta ask why? Won't the H50 do a better job?
