Yep. Did about 2-2.5 hours of 3dmark non stop. Not one reboot. Did 2006 from stock clocks on the card, upping little by little till I found it's limit. Once I did then I ran 05,03,01 and I gave aquamark a go but it wasn't working. So yeah, bench stable. The day before I had done about another two hours with a GX2.

If you visit here you'll see all my submissions on the BOT with that setup.

http://hwbot.org/community/user/chic...y?tab=personal

There you will find my super pi run at over 4.7 GHz and my 4634 MHz wprime run, so it was a bit under 4.65 GHz. Cooling was a Megashadow with push and pull 110CFM Scythe S Types.

Nicely done with your overclock chicken patty. I'm also thinking to see how far I can go with my set up. Not my sig rig but my spare that has the e758

I have decided to make my H50 a push-pull and with that setup do it as an exhaust vs the now single fan intake... While I was ordering I grabbed a 80m chipset fan for the hot northbridge.... how are you all that have those fans attaching them?

TIA.

I don't know if there is an elegant way to attach a fan to the NB. I've seen a few setups where they are just zip tied somewhere, pointed at the NB, but I would be seriously bothered by that just knowing it isn't attached "correctly".

Take a picture inside your HAF and post it up, maybe someone will come up with an idea!

Yeah, I don't use a standard fan. I've been using my spot cool, and it's been doing the job nicely.

So far,
EVGA x58 LE = $183.99
Antec TruePower New 750W = $77.37

I'm going to head to Micro Center after work tomorrow to most likely pick up a 920, but I'll try and see if they have any 930's that we have batch info on.

Next thing I'm keeping an eye out for is an Intel X25-M
My suggestion for an SSD would be Intel, OCZ, or Corsair (But be warned Corsair's logo adds like 50-70$ for some reason *rolls eyes*)
I had an 80G Intel SSD and it was nice for the time it lasted, something died on it never found out what so I took it back to Micro Center, but it was still a great Boot Drive. Lucky me though when I returned it they had a deal on the OCZ Vertex 60GBs and I asked if I could exchange it for the OCZ since the after MIR price was the same as the Intel and they were cool and did.

The OCZ I noticed even being rated at a constant 70mbs and capable of 135mbs wrote faster then the Intel to me. The big thing that caught my attention was how fast Windows 7 installed compared the the Intel, probably a good 5minutes faster I'd say.

A good friend built a system with a 160GB (I think) Corsair drive and I've never heard him complain about it thats the only reason I throw that brand into possible choices.

Everyone has their brand of choice and OCZ just happens to be mine. I'm sure no matter what you get though its gonna be a nice boost in performance.

Thanks for the info!

I guess I'm still tossing up against Intel X25-M vs. OCZ Vertex. Depending on where I read, some say that the X25-M should be the only decision if considering one or the other at this price point, other articles say the Vertex outdoes the X25-M for cheaper.

I don't have brand loyalty, so I feel like I can go one way or the other. As I'm typing this, I forgot if the Vertex supports TRIM or not though. That's going to be important to me since the OLD Samsung 64GB SSD I am running in my Lenovo X300 has deteriorated due to lack of TRIM, and before researching all of this...my ignorance on how to take care of a SSD.

I know I said I was going to MicroCenter earlier in the week, but I've just been at work too late. Heading out in a few minutes and going to leave there with at least a new i7.

Any ocz SSD with the idilinx controller all have trim support as long you have FW 1.4 and up (latest is fw 1.5 which has trim and gc).

But you have to remember in order for trim:
1. you must have FW 1.4 and up
2. Windows 7
3. trim does not work on raid
