the factory TIM is actually Shin Etsu which is one of the best TIM

h50 + push pull = win for price / performance.

i switched the stock tim to as5, just because i seated the h50 more then 10 times in total, and i change tim everytime i reseat coolers.

and yeah, the fan/rad setup would be as you state...

i was referring to the v8 being garbage as to price performance, my friend has a v10 and a v8 i beat both of them with cheaper heatsinks plenty of times... a xiggy dark knight even beats the price performance of those big a55 cm blocks. grant you cm does make some relatively good heatsinks but it shatters on the pricing on them, most of the time.

I want to flash my bios to v44. I made a cd and and a usb boot stick just in case the cd drive cannot be read by the motherboard since i want to flash the bios b4 I install the OS. I've been reading all over the place and seem pretty confident but there is one thing i still don't understand, when it says after i flash the bios to load the bios defaults. how do i go about doing this?

I was thinking about going with an after market NB cooler whats your guys opinions on this one i found>?

When you enter into the BIOS, the 2nd column there should be a menu called "Load Setup Defaults". Press that and then set the boot order to CD first.
