Lets start by downloading CPU-Z. This program will give you detailed info on your cpu and show your revision i.e D0/C0
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

2nd lets find out what your particular cpus VID "Voltage Identification" is as they are for the most part all different. You may be giving it more than it wants/needs

Cpu Vcore-1.475V Don't leave vcore on auto when overclocking!
Are you trying for 5.00Ghz?
CPu VTT- +300mV========= this looks pretty high try +75mV
CPU PLL AUTO
QPI pll 1.400V=========== 1.35v is intels max. Just make sure its within .5v of your ram

Dimm 1.65 =============Set your timings manually 8-8-8-24 dont leave it on auto
Dimm DQ +0
IOH 1.400=============1.1v~1.2v
IOH ICH 1.65===========1.5v
ICH 1.250=============1.1v~1.2v

from what i can see some of your settings could pose a problem. What bios are using?

Use this bios template and fill in your settings"or try mine" as you see it in your bios.
This makes it very easy for these guys to get the critical info needed on your OC settings and so the proper change can be made.

Once you boot into windows with your new overclock you will need to test for stability
with programs such as Prime95,LinX

New board will come with an older version yes...

However,

I suggest you not running the latest and greatest if you are (and your sig says you are) running a 920.

For me and my Classified E760 J is the best to go with... can give you the list for you board...

basically though, from lots of reading at EVGA 49 and 44 are not the best OCing Bio loads for users of the 920s.

Again anyone else looking for OC help, this link is for CO 920s not D0s due to too much voltage.

i think that guide is too aggressive right off the bat.

Have you tried taking turbo off yet?
intel speed step=Disabled
C1E=Disabled

When we reach that 4.00Ghz marker the voltages really need fine tuning and you can be +/- 1/10th of a volt somewhere that will in turn throw all the other volts out of whack. Fine tuning and stablizing a high overclock takes alot of time.

Think of it like the movie Tron. Say you have a wall with a long channel in the center. When we have failed overclocks the voltage stream is smashing into the walls and not following its path into and through the channel. The result is the cpu is expecting a "1" and got a "0" if that makes any sense Thats the only way i understand it anyway.

Best analogy i could think of using as i'm NOT a Electrical engineer and a little
The point that im trying to make is changing your vcore from 1.40000v to 1.40625v these tiny changes can straighten out the stream enough and

BEHOLD! Stability
