Modding Athlon XP to mobile

Hi

I saw somewhere in this website that it was possible to modify an althlon xp to a mobile processor and thus unlock the multiplier. I was chicken to do it then

Any1 have any guides on how to do this?

fab51.com , all you have to do is take a crayon or a color pencil (something NON-conductive) and fill in the laser cuts on the L5 bridges, then use a #2 pencil to connect the middle two pins on the L5. Unfortunatley you cannot change the multi on the nf2 chipset for some reason.

Yes you will, but the thing that may hold you back is your memory, but you can run a divider and still see fater speeds from your CPU

what is a #2 pencil ???
is it diffrint than a regular pencil????

IMHO, I don't see why you even want to mos a 2600+
The multiplyer is fine and all the gain will come from upping the FSB!

I have a 2500+ with a via chipset so if I want to do this all I have to do
is to connect all l5 bridges with tow layers the first 1 with a crayon pencil and the second with a regular pencil is that right or did I miss somthing??
