Can I push my Athlon 64 3200++ any higher?

I have a Gigabyte nForce 3 mobo that can put the voltage up to 1.700 but I don't know if that is safe or not. I'm running fairly cool right now and under load. I only seem to get up to 40 degrees when gaming. So i'm just woundering if it's safe or not to put it up any higher.

your temps seem pretty good so i would say go for it, just more voltage=more heat, so keep a close eye on your temps... but you should always try to run the lowes voltage possible for a given clock speed.

Yes you have a long way to go yet if you are looking at getting it to its limmits. Temperature is the enemy so your first problem will come from there. Good start though

Hm...... I clocked it up to 2.60 with voltage set to 1.550 and I started playing Quake 4, got to the part of the intro where you first see the big ships come and the computer locked up. I checked CPU health status when I did the reboot and it was only at 35 degrees. I am so confoosed.

Your CPU temps can radically change between full loads and the time it takes to reboot. It's a good change that your cpu surpassed 60C and caused it too lock up, and by the time you got back into Windows/BIOS it could have dropped the 25C that your seeing.

Run Prime95 and another stress test (either dual Prime95 or SuperPI) at the same time. That'll put it on a true full load to stress test.

Theres even a higher chance of it not being heat, it's only 1.55v, but being too low vcore...increase vcore and it wont crash.

you are running an ati card so put the omega drivers on and use speedfan to monitor your cpu temps whilst running q4, then you will be able to see how hot it is getting and then know where you are at, or you could always just run prime or even fold and see how hot things are getting when on full load.
