Just ignore him heh. He made a whole thread about it a few weeks ago, and hes talking about SLI vs. Tri SLI. Doesnt understand that just because 'he has a hexacore' that doesnt mean there wont still be a bottleneck in some games. He'd rather blame the patch than accept that.

The SLI hack is not working for me. I am running 2 x EVGA GTX 460 1GB with 258.96 drivers on a GA-EP45-UD3P (screen turning black, no response from monitors). Hopefully the new SLI Hack comes out soon, can't use any older drivers with the GTX 460's.

Appreciate it and coming from someone who doesnt even have 1 480 let alone trifire/and trisli 480's...

The sli hack isnt working...i Ran 3 5870's in trifire at 950/1200 clocks and had performance increase...each time scaling almost 100%. Your telling me that a hex core cant run 2 480's at stock settings? There would be some sort of increase...maybe just a fraction. But in game performance especially bc2 it becomes obvious the 2nd 480 isnt working. It shows full load in msi afterburner but frames are at 50....

The hack doesnt work or is bugged on 890fx boards.

Oh i forgot....i tried with 2 8800gtx's, 2 gts 250's, hmm what else. I suppose those bottleneck a 4ghz hex core to.

And to top it off....quiet a few people are running into similar things.

It works fine, several posts in this thread confirm 890fx functionality. Including one only a page ago from yesterday. The only problem with this patch is the current issue with 258+

You're mistaken and have been told this by several people thus far. You keep touting the hexacore as something great when it is slower than a standard i7 for gaming purposes. Yes, tri-SLI will bottleneck. A lot. Hell, it could be THE GAMEs optimization with tri-SLI, did you even try to run vantage or something?

not even talking about tri-sli. I'm talking about SLI...and 3-4 different types of nvidia cards.

and yes once again heaven and vantage seen increases. The games however did not. Crysis,bc2,mw2, god what else.

All i'm saying is something about games are not seeing the hack in my case. Alot of users report increases but most of them its just vantage and heaven benchmark reports...never seen in any game reports. Alot of people however are saying they dont see a increase. sure blame it on bottleneck but i'm not going to believe that a quad/hex/ whatever you want is bottlenecking 2 480's/8800/250's when i can run trifire maxed out and be fine.

Either way the cards are sold.

*edit* and yes the 258 patch actually causes BSOD's. I performed all tests on 257.21 with .8. I just wanted to show people that the sli hack may not work the way it is intended. I was told id have no problems...not everyone is crying bottleneck...love how the story changes.

Confirmed the patch is working fine on 890FX boards today with 8800gts. The only problem remains the 258+ bugs.
