HOWTO: SLI on a non-SLI Motherboard (GTX5xx compatible 1.0 final released!) - Page 158

QUOTE::I recently updated my setup to use the 285.38 drivers, and I'm having some lag issues. With SLI enabled, there is a severe lag in fullscreen applications. For example, watching a 720p YouTube video in fullscreen gets about 10fps. Non-fullscreen is fine. The same can be said for games such as Battlefield 3. If I disable SLI, everything runs smoothly.

Same here! please help, Im running 2 EVGA 560ti's and it is horrible frame drops in full screen with sli enabled. Im using modified 285.38 because the originals cause screen flicker. funny thing though, original nvidia 285.38 cause flicker but play smooth as silk.

Those posters you are referring to have AMD CPU's.

Hyper SLi isn't supported on AMD platforms just yet. Anatolymik is just now getting to work on AMD support *according to that forum thread*.

So us AMD guys will have to hold off on these newer drivers for now it seems to get SLi.

Unless you have a surround setup...

because i have found the flicker doesn't affect a surround setup...

where is affects the Standard SLI setup...

don't ask me y...

it just does...

I agree, don't chuck your processor just yet. The 990FX boards are great boards and are not all that expensive.
