It doesn't matter when you formatted your operating system it will work regardless.

First..... what a great find. I had purchased Asus P5Q Pro Turbo and GTS 250 when upgrading my Comp. Then upgraded to GTS 450, this whole time I was thinking my MB was SLI because I originally bought the GTS 250 ( For the record so I don't look completely dumb, I was talking to the guy at the store about going sli and recommended just one good card cause SLI was still a little funny and sold me the GTS 250. So yeah always had SLI stuck in my head ) . Well I bought a second GTS 450 and was quite disappointed when it didn't work. I couldn't seem to get the second card to run dedicated physx either, so google I went.

Thanks to all of you that is involved in this one way or another.

ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5Q PRO TURBO (LGA 775)
1024MB GeForce GTS 450 (EVGA) X2
285.38-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit-english-beta Then ran patched driver version ( was really unclear if I had to or not ? )
SLIPatch_v1.5_beta

My comp seems to crash when left in SLI, so I only enable when gameing and disable when not. BUT it works. I hope this info is usefull ( besides my story )

Here's what I did.... I installed the driver(s) , then installed patched driver , rebooted comp just to let the new drivers do their thing and then installed the SLI patch and of course rebooted.

When I was testing different drivers, I always uninstalled the SLI patch first and rebooted ( to boot up in normal windows with out sli boot option ), then I Uninstalled the drivers and rebooted again to let windows drivers do their thing. Then I just repeated the steeps above.

I hope this helps.... I have been running my cards pretty good and so far all is stable

Their is hyper sli now no need for sli patch 1.5 beta. or modded drivers anymore if your system supports it.

This thread might be of help to you. http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153046

Probably a problem with the board, the cards or the SLI bridge is my best guess, try them in another computer and see if they work okay

Also try running a card in the second PCIe slot only and see if the computer works okay
