Scaling should be identical. Certification is just BS. They're all built the same.

The exception is if you use the PCI-E lanes coming off of the southbridge. nVidia does not certify for SLI using lanes that come from the southbridge.

not working on asus maximus 2 formula
2x GTX280 nvdriver 341.44 (maybe to new?) + hyperSLI patch
windows7x64

HyperSLI says all good but there's no SLI option in my nvidia panel

old thread but still usefull for some of us wink.gif

See my post here:
http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/hypersli-enabling-sli-on-non-sli-motherboards.153046/page-93

Go to here and download the 1.3 zip:

https://github.com/EmberVulpix/DifferentSLIAuto/releases

unpack this into any folder of your choice, you can also download my already patched driver from here:

http://www.gamefront.com/files/25010434/nvlddmkm3

Re-run the hypersli installer and uninstall hypersli, it is seriously outdated and is no longer maintained, the latest driver it supports is 335.23, that's why your
not getting a sli option in the nvidia control panel. Reboot your computer.

Download the latest nvidia drivers from here: (should be 352.86)

http://www.geforce.com/drivers

Install the new drivers as usual, copy my already patched driver file into the same folder where you unpacked differentsli, you might need to pause your anti-virus program,
run the install.cmd, un-pause your anti-virus program and reboot your computer, you should have sli mode available now, make sure that you check the version number
of my already patched driver against the video drivers you installed, don't mix up the numbers, the results would be unpredictable. I put the version in the download filename.

i can not use the 352.86 drivers, my hardware is not compatible frown.gif
working on 341.44 that's the latest i can use.is there any modded dll for this driver release?
working like a charm, did batman benchmark around 35/40% increase framerate
thank you very much sir thumb.gif

btw i did follow the guide to patch my nvlddmkm.sys on 341.44 driver and voila !
lovely day

Glad you got things going! Keep an eye on the tech forums, I'll always try to post the latest driver file whenever nvidia updates their drivers.
hello,
I tried everything you said here but when I patch the nvldd.sys file and reboot, the control panel is missing.
the patch was successful with difrrentsliauto.
It seems like something is removing the driver or the nvidia control panel when I patch this file.
my Microsoft antivirus defender is disabled.
I tried with nvidia 341.44 and 352.86 drivers with the same results.

my hardware is:
asus maximus formula x38
2 X 670GTX
intel 9450 quard core

any suggestions?

could you pls tell me how do you know if your PCI-E come from north or south bridge ? here is my MB MSI Z77A-G41 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130653&Tpk=Z77A-G41&IsVirtualParent=1&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-VigLink2-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3821802&SID=il11nyfco2000a1700053

*The 2nd PCI-E is it related to north or south bridge ?
*does my MB support SLI if i use this different SLI method ?
do i get any disadvantage if it work as i can see it say PCI Express 2.0 x16 1 @x4 so what does that number four mean? if it run SLI does it take x4 or x16 speed ?

i will be very greatful if you answer my qustion as i already asked in some other site with no help i got .

thanks
MH

Since the second slot is an x4 slot and is Gen2, it comes from the southbridge. Your motherboard will not support SLI. The hack may get it to work, but going through the southbridge is far from ideal. The connection from the southbridge to the CPU is a bottleneck, and then there's added latency as well.
