Do you recommend the patch, or driver method? Driver method looks a bit sketchy.. only one version of a driver you can never update from?
how is it that you have a 470GTX? And that graph you show in your sig is meaningless......

What does any of this mean? It's clear as mud.....

Modifying drivers is NOT piracy. The drivers are FREE and we can modify them and use them for whatever we want - for overclocking, over voltage, fan adjustments etc...... so find another thread to derail.
It may not be "piracy" in a sense but it does violate the DMCA (which is a law full of *****, but it is the law in the US after all) to my understanding, correct me if I'm wrong: any redistribution of modified copyrighted material constitutes as a violation. Again, correct me if I'm wrong.

Another thing is, NVIDIA licenses the official SLI-certified boards for, I read somewhere it was $5/mobo. NVIDIA would claim it looses money if you use this method, just like when you pirate music, the music industry would claim loss of sales, which really is BS, but whatever.

Not trying to piss on anyone's chips, I thought I might as well clarify (at least to my understanding).

I honestly think that nvidia really doesn't give 2 $h!ts about anyone modifying their drivers... if you buy one of their video cards, you can do whatever you want to it ... "patching" the drivers is fine as long as you're not selling it or making any profit from it

anyways this is off topic so can we get back to the discussion at hand? And move on from this irrelevant topic?

So, does this work with newer asus drivers? or just the 190.xxx ones?
Ordered a new system with a 790 board and 3x gts250, but also want to run sli on it for gaming sometimes.

I tried and tried and tried and could not get this to work with my GTX260's. Mostly resulted in bluescreens and botched ALL my OS's on ALL my partitions. I would SERIOUSLY caution all to stay away from this!

Other OSes bootrecs should easily be fixed using fixmbr and fixboot.

Heya, I gave this a try and it actually worked.

Don't try install it if you have Nvidia stereoscopic 3d drivers installed!

I also had a problem with lines/banding.

I put my results up on my blog here :

http://www.derekbrowne.com/?p=129

Thanks for the info ! It was a fun experiment.
