I didn't think the patch was directly aimed for amd boards, I think its just to make any board "sli certified", I was talking to a guy from nvidia earlier we had a conversation about how basically all boards are "capable" however only some are certified and alot of that has to do with branding on certain boards are there are things that pervent a board from being capable its all with the programing.

nvidia does not recommend sli with any board that is not SLi certified and would be safe on your components not to do so.

but there's always us rebel OCers LoL

I don't know what else to do about your board not reading the other card maybe change your bios to another version if your feeling risky I'm wondering if they make a hacked bios for your board, I do think you need a more powerful power supply I would recommend something above 650 for your particular card x2 but I think if it was going to work at all it would recognize it either way but I think you would have stability problems. Maybe just shoot for a 580 and a new power supply when you've saved up some or just go with I hate to say it.. an ati card if your board is crossfire ready.

not to diss ati or anything I'm just a nvidia fanboy who wants to have n vision when i can get a 3d tv..

Should work with any board just make sure you remove any traces of Nvidia patching and do a fresh install of 266.58 before applying the SLI patch otherwise you may have issue.

Glad to say I am running my GTX 460's on a board intended for Crossfire and I am extremely satisfied. These guys saved me the money I would've spent on a new board so definitely going to find a donation link. Now if only XFX would begin selling newer Nvidia cards again all would be right with the world.
