It is very addicting. I worked fairly hard to get into the top ten in points on the team and now I sit at #8. I have purchased all kinds of parts and computers for the sole purpose of folding. I will hate it when I move back to the states and have to pay a power bill. I am thinking about building a pentium 920 rig. That should keep my average a steady 1200 a day. I should be able to put one together for about $600 just to fold (read built in graphics and 512 memory). Good luck everyone and keep on folding.

Go to folding.stanford.edu and read about the research. If that's not enough to get you motivated, nothing we say here will make a difference. It truly is a good cause.

Yeah, this is not going to do good things to my power bill

Bringing up two more systems - a dual 240 this week and an Intel 2.4 Northwood next week. I probably wouldn't have bothered to finish building them if it weren't for folding

I tought I made my self clear I said JUST START FOLDING!! that wasn't a reguest it's an order!(jk)
you should really start folding like Taeric said it's for a good cause and it's not like your computer is going to lose any proformance and if you system becomes unstable then all that means is your system never was stable to begin with, if it overheats guess wat your system temps never could hand running at 100%
thier is no draw backs in folding
so fold do it!

EDIT: uh..wait my bad I forgot if you have more then three or more pc's folding 24/7 under one roof the electrical bill will be a bit high, but you don't have to fold 24/7 just fold when your on your computer when your done using it you can turn it off it saves it's self so it won't have to start over every time you shut down your rig.
