Ok lets get the obvious out of the way:

1. Yeah I know i've been a member for a long time with a low post count, I visit everyday and read but don't post much.

2. No trolling please. Yeah i know it's a nvidia card, what about dragon platform blah blah blah...etc. I'm not a huge gamer, every now and then a couple RTS games.

On to my new build, $755 shipped.

Looks to be a pretty solid build for a non hardcore gamer. Good job.

Hello.

What do I think?

You shouldn't have got a Phenom II, got an Athlon II instead and bought a bigger monitor. A bigger monitor honestly does make an absolutely HUGE difference, but each to his own.

Are you going to be overclocking?

If so, you picked the perfect CPU and mobo combo for some modest overclocking. You should be able to do about 3.8GHz on the stock cooler.

I like the case, GPU, PSU, Optical Drive, the RAM is decent, etc.

I would have gotten a Samsung F3 500GB drive instead of the Black. They're faster, run cooler and are cheaper, but aren't currently on Newegg.

What mouse and keyboard do you have? A good mouse and keyboard makes a HUGE difference to your overall enjoyment of a computer. The mouse more so than the keyboard, I feel.

However, it looks awesome, and I'm sure you'll have a great experience.

The monitor would be on my priority list, then mouse, then keyboard.

Looks good to me, heh. Five times as good as what I've got. Interestingly, it's very similar to what I expect my next rig to be. Good luck with it.

Also: don't worry about the low post count. All that means is that you don't post spam and BS. Cheers!

Pretty baller my man. 9800 gt will max everything out on a 15" LCD. Your build is solid.

Edit: I also would have gone with the spinpoint, but short stroke your hd to get a little performance increase.

Yeah I definitely wanted the Samsung F3 500GB spinpoint, it was in my egg wishlist and when i went to order the parts they were out of stock, so yeah had to get the cav black. And yeah i do know i need a new monitor, just saving up the money but it is in the works. mouse is a logitech V220 and keyboard is a logitech pro 2000. thanks for the posts!

Edit: I haven't owned a proc i didn't overclock, even laptops (CPUFSB was fun on the portables)
really excited about the airflow of the antec 300 and the C3 phenom.

Nice build, I'm nearly cloning it (though with a "lesser" MOBO). My rig's for sim gaming (Sims 2/3) so I didn't feel the need to overdo it. Same boat, mine shipped this morning (specs below). The only upgrades I see in the future are an H50 and an OCZ SSD 30GB for boot up.
Nice, I have the same mobo not many members have that one. It's ok except for the front audio and usb ports are in a stupid spot.
