how to remove backplate?

im getting a big typhoon and i hear you need to remove the backplate but the problem is that i cannot remove mine? it seems to have a layer of glue or something?
ne idea how to remove it without damaging my motherboard

on the K8 boards you don't remove the back plate. Just the two supplied metal brackets that fit.

This is the way it should go starting from the back of the motherboard...

1. TT metal bracket
2. Backplate
3. Mobo
4. Processor
5. Heatsink
6. 2nd Metal bracket

In your parts your find two really long screws. Put those through 1,2 and 3. And then put the brass nuts to hold them in place. After you have applied thermal compound, put the heatsink on, and then the 2nd silver metal bracket. Use two of the 4 supplied nuts to hold it in place.

oh so it will fit with the original backplate on as well... mmm.. thats annoying then becos i managed to take it off with alot of trouble...... took me ages....
