Hey guys, just did then tut! Awesome, really helpful, cheers!

So I want to make some mods to my Haf, I love the beast! But it is not bold enough yet.

So what I am thinking is extend it. But before I even touch a rivit on it I want to make sure that it would look good with a decent render.

So I thought as I have only made the Glass so far I would start out with a nice easy door, but when I try to curve to corners,

So this is what I have:

But the curve tool will not let me curve it...The straight lines it does fine, but the corners it has no idea where to start and just sits there at 1/1000 or so tasks to do.

Help would be greatly apprishated! I will post a link for the model, if you wish to have a play and figure out what is wrong, let me know please!

Do you mean the corners on the very outside of the piece?

If so, just draw two lines, say you were in the upper left corner, draw a 1/2" line going down, and a 1/2" line going right, then use the arc tool to draw the arc and then delete what you don't want.

Oh, sorry.

I meant the inner concave sort of dropped platform part. When I highlight it all it will just not curve it up.

This is using round corners, do not think I said that.

It is exactly yo scale give or take a few MM, and this is the right side panel, but then I come to make the other side it is basically the same. I will just have to cut a side window and add grill.

But without the curve tool working on rounded corners it will not look as good.

Does sketchup 7 (or 8) support ATI crossfire??? I was thinking of setting up dual 5770 hds. Thoughts/opinions appreciated
post #397 of 670
Sketchup uses very little resources. It runs without stuttering on my laptop: Intel mobile 939!
Meaning: it don't matter whether you have one or two 5770, or soup them up with CF.

Yeah, it runs absolutely no problem at all for me on my sigrig, so don't worry about having "only" one 5770; it'll run it perfectly.

Also, I'm not sure it even uses the GPU at all.

Anecdotal: I run it on a laptop with integrated Intel GMA4500. It runs super smooth.

Well there you go then. To answer your question: if you're thinking of getting CF 5770s just for SketchUp, don't do it. If you're thinking of it for gaming, go for it.
