Good hot swap bays

Thread Starter
Looking for 2 or 3 quality hot swap bays. I need them to fit both 2.5 and 3.5 drives (if that's possible idk ). Going to use them to transfer and clone data.

+Rep for good suggestions

for 2.5" drives (I bought this for sig rig, love it)http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817993014

and there are a bunch of server style 3.5" hotswap bays you could use in combo, or if your smart, just get a set of 3.5" sata hotswap bays, and plug the 2.5" drives in, with some handy work if the connectors are at the top. here's a good one

you don't need all fancy front panels for hotswap drive bays. but yea, plastic is fine from my experience, aslong as the rest is metal (mine is). Only external drive or mobile solutions Should have a more rugged exterior finish, but still, it is still more than good enough. the server style second one should be alot better than what i'm currently using as far as quality, however both get the job done

Getting both of the ones Steven posted is a good idea. Takes up three bays but accommodates 5 drives total.

Key point is that they use individual SATA ports..

What do you think about one of this ? If you need several HD online at the same time, the bays suggested by Steven are better, but if you can use the HD one at the time, this can host both 2.5" and 3.5".

I concur, I have the two of the single bay ver with tray http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817993031
and the quality is pretty good. Everything on mine is plastic, the fan speed is quiet, and ability to turn off/on the HDD is nice feature. As an example, the exterior finish is like that of a dvd drive.
