Folding FAQ - Everything you need to know in one location (for new and old folders!) - Page 83

You need to let it run through a few WU's (especially different ones like 353s, 1888's, etc) before it'll give you the benchmarks for your hardware.

And if that location doesn't work, try going to C> Users> [Your User]> AppData (a hidden folder)> Roaming> Folding@home-gpu.

Anyways its working on its 8th WU now, and Fahmon still isn't picking up on anything

Rightclick the folding@home icon in the system tray and go to Status> Log File. At the top it shoudl have the location of the WU. Just put that location into Fahmon and it should work now. And did you unhide AppData? I'm not sure if Fahmon reads it when it's hidden.

Hmm it just decided to start working now, It finally shows stats for progress and ETA. Benchmarks still don't work, but I'm sure they will come along soon.

Do I need to minimize Fahmon, or can I just quit it and it keeps itself updated anyway?

FahMon will only generate benchmark data for the current WU. If you open it halfway through the WU it should still pick up the data for the WU. However, you cannot leave FahMon off for days at a time and then open it. It won't pick up the data for the WU's

If you want FahMon out of your task bar, then you can move it to the tray by checking the "enable tray icon" box in the preferences menu.

When they find a cure for cancer, then you get to say, "I played an important part."

Depends. I can knock out a 353point WU in just over an hour on my GPU. A 1888 point WU could take me up to half a day, and some large SMP WU's can take more than a day of folding time.
