Is it at all possible to open up any pipes on this "POS" GF 6200 without completely bricking it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Most recent 6200 have a nv44 core that doesn't have hidden masked pipelines.
So I'm not sure about you being to unlock it.

The only way to find out is to download RivaTuner and try it.
For more info on how to do it... check out this webpage it's all explained there (with screenshots).

That card you posted a link to is 64bit, so it won't unlock. The only ones that did were the older 128bit nv43 core ones.

Plus that card is a TC with only 16mb on board. You wanna run that on your 3800+ rig? Stay far far away from that piece of :turd:.

yeah that card's only temporary untill I start working again and can afford a better one...I've had my eye on a Radeon x700 or higher. I was just hoping that I could do something with it before I chuck it away in favour of a better card.

Go for a 6600GT (it has GDDR3 memory) or even a 6800LE (those can often be unlocked). Heck there's even the 6800GS which is a good bang for the buck.

If you decide to go for the Radeon X700 just be aware that it's already unlocked (8 pixel pipeline and 6 vertex pipes). There's nothing to unlock there.
