Try reseting the BIOS. Take out the button battery on your mobo for about 10mins. That will reset your factory defaults.

You really only need to take it out for about 15 seconds. Don't forget to touch the power supply then unplug it before doing anything inside your computer (safety first!).

Are you using networking with firewire? I have a firewire device that plugs into the mobo that offers both firewire connections (a and b?) Anyway, I had two computers hooked up to eachother via the firewire and I had to take it out because I would get similar problems. Any fans connected to the mobo would continue to run after I shut down. The screen would go black, but other things continued to run. It's just a long shot that this is your problem, but worth a try.

This is most likely a sign of instability, your 830 is clocked pretty high for a dual core. I'm guessing your CPU just doesn't like it. As everyone has said, reset your CMOS, and try your overclock again.

Even if your rig passes a Prime95 test or any other type of stress test, if your files seem to take longer to open up, startups or shutdowns seem longer than usual or anything that hasn't happened before starts acting up on you it is more than likely a sign of some kind of instability. In my case, going up to 3.8GHz on my 530 causes some programs to load really slowly. Turning the clockspeed down a bit and everything pops up fast and works great.

Hi.
Well the problem is that this occured before i started oc my computer, first time it happened: Uppdated all the windows updates.. and after that it just wouldnt restart.
2nd time. fresh installed windows, and didnt uppgrade. but happend when i started overclock..

My thoughts, can it be something with my network cable?, since the mb supports startup via lan and some otherstuff like that ( not activated)
or is there something with my hardware? compatible problems or something like that, though my computer works just fine with the oc, stable and the temps are below 50 c on the cpu, so its a little bit of a headake this...
thanks for helping my out guys! .

Which drivers do you got? It could be your ethernet drivers, try dowloading the latest one from their homepage. The ethernet drivers i got with my computer, made my computer boot by itself, but downloading the latest ethernet drivers fixed that.
